I lived in Japan as a child and am always searching for authentic tasting food. The Gyoza was excellent. The hibachi was tasty without being overloaded with sauce, and the presentation is authentic. Will be back many times!

It's ok, sort of a Spartanburg version of Greenville's Joy of Tokyo, right down to menacing signs telling you what you can and can't do there. Food is ok, service is pretty bad - seems to be all teens or college age kids who are pretty indifferent. It's not bad but there are better out there.

The food is typically great. Have been super disappointed in the cleanliness of the restaurant. The cook at this location has terrible hygiene habits. I have watched him repeatedly come out of the back and not wash his hands, just wipe this on his apron, and always has his cell phone. It has made me want to stop eating here. The window is for a reason. Mr. Joe took great pride building his franchises, and the needs to be fixed ASAP.

The food is ok for being so cheap, but the store is not well cared and the kitchen is dirty and the cook is unhygienic. The employee running the register (usually the same girl) is unprofessional. Usually on her phone, listening to headphones, or gossiping inappropriately and the others aren't much better. If there is ever an issue they are rude and unapologetic. The Japan House in Hilcrest is much cleaner and the employees actually care about customer service and deserves your business much more than this location.

good foods good price, friendly and clean. It's delicious in fast foods. To go is easy, and I recommend to dinning in if you want to eat something grilled. Japanese grill is awesome in some field. For my personal, I love the grilled beef tongue but cannot remember the exact name in menu. Love it.
